Description:

The production of fish meal from fish offal and surplus fish benefits both the national economy and the fisherman and should not be regarded as a salvage operation. If the raw material is of an only nature, for example herrings, fish oil is recovered as an additional product and finds a variety of outlets, much of it going, after suitable refining treatment, into edible fat mixtures.
